All my memories of my dear Aunt Nona are highlighted with her dedication to family. She always offered her support and kind words to me. Last week, as she was preparing for her upcoming trip, she and I were emailing one another updates, as we typically do. After our last email, she sent me another message wishing me early birthday wishes for my upcoming birthday the following week. I teased her because she was a week early (and she knew it), but I feel so blessed that she thought of me enough to do that. After my mother (her sister) passed away 14 years ago, I always felt like my Aunt Nona was there for me. She always offered me love and support. Her humor was the best, and I felt like we "got" each other. I am going to miss her tremendously. There is a huge hole in my heart that will always be filled with her memory. I love you, Nona Rae June! You were the BEST AUNT EVER!
